Achee (Ah shayh’)

     Humanity is at a crossroads.  We have the opportunity to create miracles or chaos.  It takes vision, love, commitment, courage, community and action to create miracles.  Achee is creating miracles through building centers of transformation and peace as well as ecological villages (eco-villages). 

     Achee's mission is to create transformation, peace, love and sustainability throughout the world via establishing centers and environments of light that function locally and globally.  We present cultural events, seminars and forums, music and ceremony, and we initiate communication in all aspects of life.  We honor women, men, children, all living beings, the planet and environment, all living beings, celebrating diversity within the unity of all.  We acknowledge that everything is part of a greater mosaic -- physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually -- than any of us can imagine. 

     In the aftermath of the brutality of the September 11, 2001, debacle, it is clear that “Achee” (Pocket of Peace) centers of transformation and culture are needed globally and would benefit people everywhere.  Achee is committed to peaceful conflict resolution.  This goes beyond the absence of violence and war.  The power of peace, the strength of peace, the outcomes of negotiations done with peace as the intended outcome, this is what the world and her citizenry yearn for.  This is what Achee and the Achee Light Center, as well as the eco-villages, eco-towns, eco-cities Achee intends, can provide. Now is the time.  Achee is one of the modes of teaching, learning, sharing, being, doing and having to create this alive and well on our beautiful planet. 

     Africa is a beautiful continent, populated with wonderful creative brilliant people.  The earth is rich.  It is time to honor and treasure this exquisite land, and give back what has previously been taken.  Africa is one of the vortices blossoming on Earth at this time.  Achee is an aspect of this rebirth and renaissance.  Achee is birthing the Achee Light Center in the Republic of Benin, West Africa, and a school in our adopted village, Akim Anyinase, Ghana.  The Akim Anyinase community has requested that we help them build a school for women and an herbal clinic, and bring them electricity and drainage, as well as other necessities.  We intend this as our first prototype of an ecological village.  In the midst of miracles, we create beautiful Pockets of Peace and collaborations worldwide.  Achee-Benin ONG is our nongovernmental organization (NGO) in Benin.  We are affiliated with the Mothers Social Club, a UN-recognized NGO in Ghana.  Through the Mothers Social Club, the Achee chair was instooled (correct) as Queen Mother of Progress for Young Women and Girls, known as Nana Aboagye-Antwi I. 

     The Achee Light Center is a new start, the first of its kind that can be replicated in other areas under other conditions, with changes as may be applicable due to factors as climate and resources specific to different areas.  We are cleaning up our collective past to create newly, benefiting the world.  We intend to create eco-vilalges that function in every country and environment in the world.  We can do this in cooperation with such organizations as the Findhorn Foundation Community, A Culture for Peace, the Foundation for Ethics and Meaning, We the People, the Planetary Association for Clean Energy (PACE), the Millennium People's Assembly Network, and World Citizens Foundation. 

     Achee is a nonprofit tax-exempt 501 (c ) (3) organization.  We have 30 acres of property in Benin to construct the Achee Light Center.  Akim Anyinase is slated to be our first eco-village.  This is a global and local enterprise, and Achee welcomes your participation.
